Wedding reception is no doubt one of the most important thing in the preparation of a wedding. And for the same reason it is one of the most hectic processes that one can get himself/herself into and which can either destroy the day or turn it into a memorable one.
I decided to post this blog on planning wedding receptions, this would help the people whom plan to get married soon and they are looking for a point to start with or the people who are planning a wedding for someone and don’t have an idea about where to start from.
We’ll go about this step by step and the best way for that of course is to go through them, one by one.
Set the date for your Wedding
Going about something in an orderly manner can help you face issues in a more professional way, choosing the right venue and making all the preparation can be enormously feasible to you if you plan after setting up the wedding date.
Keep in mind that many venues are booked at least an year or two in advance, so you need to decide the date beforehand for choosing the venue that you have always wished for, or make up your mind to change to a different reception venue.
Budgeting for the Reception
This is the next big thing, since planning your wedding reception will bring forth the biggest expense. When you go to rent the reception hall, you’ll have to give a rounded figure of approximately how many guests you’re likely to have. Therefore, an important part of any planning of the wedding reception involves pruning down your reception list; this will also bring about an estimation of the costs per head, according to the size of the room and your requirements too.
An indoor or outdoor Reception?
This is the issue where most of the couples get into a problematic situation. For some, planning a reception outdoor is more feasible due to several reasons including costs but the question goes back to whether the weather would allow for an outdoor wedding or not?
Obviously, going for an outdoor reception in the end of December or the start of January would be a bad call.
Photography of the Reception
Wedding photography is crucial and you don’t want your wedding photos to be dull or boring. The decision is directly concerned to the reception you choose. Usually, in door photography is a better choice due to the bright lighting even at dark surroundings. But choosing the right photographer can help you get over that problem.
A capable photographer will find his/her way through the situation provided the host has informed them about the conditions. Always let your photographer know beforehand about whether the wedding out be indoor or outdoor. At times, minute mishaps can cause fatal.
