Once you have gone through with deciding your wedding venue, you might want to start choosing your wedding color scheme. A thought might come to your mind that you can choose any color combination, but ladies remember, you need to consider the setting and arrangement of your venue, the time and season of the year, also how informal or formal the function would be. Because if you don’t consider that, you might end up destroying your wedding decorations, which we don’t want. Keep in mind that the chosen color scheme should not only be a great color combination, but it should also compliment the venue properly.
Colors would add life to your dream wedding. Now we admit that choosing your colors can be quite difficult because it is a big part of the planning process. A lot of questions would arise in your mind because you don’t want your color scheme to be unpleasant to the eyes of guests and you also don’t want it to be very dull which may lead the function to be boring. All you need is a perfect combination of colors suiting your venue outstandingly.
Once you have chosen the color scheme, all the stylistic decisions become very easy. All the decorations can be in account with the color scheme. The flower bouquet, the escort cards, table runners and napkins, the wedding cake and chandelier of the same color would add elegance and charm to the scenario. You may also ask your bridesmaids to wear the same flattering and appealing color shade dresses if you want them completely decked head-to-toe in your color.
Now let’s give you some suggestions about the combinations. I am a girl so I know every girl loves black and white color combination because it can be very stylish and some pops of bright colors here and there enhance its beauty. Opposite colors in the color wheel look very good together and make a great color combo.
If you want to have pastel color schemes, we must tell you that they are romantic and very eye pleasing. They may end up quite colorful including several colors: light blue, candy pink, light green, lavender or pale yellow etc. Decorations, flowers and wedding cake can be done in various shades, colorful or monochromatic.
If you want bright colors in your wedding, then you can always compensate and balance them by adding white to them. These bright color schemes are energetic and are fun. From red to purple, orange to blue, you can use any color and it would become a wedding scheme in combo with white. Bright colors look amazing in bridesmaid’s dresses, bouquets and cards etc.
If you are nervous about choosing, just let nature be your guide. Choose the colors of the season. That definitely does not mean that you only have the option of orange décor in autumn and so on. You need to choose colors which complement the time of the year. For example, green and red are those types of colors which would be preferred in holiday season, these are less suitable in summer or spring wedding. For warmer weather, pastels are the best option, they may look too cold otherwise. For fall/autumn, try the colors amber, gold, russet, orche, maroon and red colors. These would add life to your wedding.
Do not restrict yourself with a bunch of colors. Think of variations of color shades and not only the commonly recognizable colors. After all, it is your wedding and you should do whatever you feel like 😉
